As Susan and I prepare to leave for our new Sarasota home, we want to thank all the players who participated in the hundreds of games over the years. And, for the young kids who came out with their parents to learn how to play wiffle ball. Great times!
The field will now be allowed to grow natural. We need more trees in the world. Left alone, a field will replenish itself with new growth in no time at all.
Richard Powell's novel, The Overstory, is a wonderful book about trees, their intelligence, what they do for us, and how we desperately need them for our own existence. HCF will do it's part to add to the population of trees on the planet. Only 1.9 acres, but, watch her grow!

August 4, Kids Game!
The game concluded at 6-6 when the 'big 5 minute rainstorm' chased everyone from the field and into the bakehouse. It wasn't all bad as we feasted on bakehouse pizza, cookies,
watermelon, cantaloupe, and fresh blueberries.

June 23 Pics
Great game today. Many of the regulars made it to the field as well as quite a few newcomers. Clearly, the next generation of youth is making their impact on the diamond felt. Lots of good young talent!
The Home Team rallied for 2 in the bottom of the 9th as the game ended in a 5-5 tie. Everyone wins!

2019
I'll be maintaining the field again this year, always looking for players to join us. I'm thinking about two games a month as a good way to go. Very flexible on scheduling games and am open to people contacting me regarding a special event for a specific date.
In the meantime, check out these guys.
