Jennifer....dreaming about hitting the ball inside the Big Rose Sculpture in Right Center...and that free pizza that comes with it.  Sorry, Jennifer, maybe next time.
The Iconic Red Rose in Right Center Field (dated photo)

Christel at bat...her last day before heading back to Groeningen in the Netherlands.  She made her impact with several hits, and a fine play in the field, so we'll make her the MVP of the Home Team for 2014.  Best of everything to you moving forward and please visit Honey Creek Field if you ever return!
Editors Note:  This was her first game of baseball.....ever!!

Tracy...getting in some BP.  I wish I would have captured her first swing.  A missile to Left Center

Is it the last inning, yet?

Evan, about to do damage.

Evan....swinging for the fences off his dad.  It won't be long before he goes yard!  The kid has game!

Home Team Wins!  Home Team Wins!

The 2014 Season!

Time to rake the field and plant some new grass seed to strengthen the turf.  Last year we were pretty much playing on a combination of weeds and grass...which will always be the case to some extent but we're looking to improve the field this year.  Here's what's on the agenda:

1.  Rake out the dead grass.
2.  Once the weather provides several consecutive days of warmth the seed will be planted.
3.  Hope for rain!
4.  When the new seedlings gain a foot hold we'll get the games going.
