9-15 Game
Home Team wins!
Sean and Devin Brodie brought along a great group including their mom, Suzette (not pictured...left early to make pizza for the players), who knows a thing or two about wiffle ball. Regular wiffler Abe...our own version of star power....brought Amanda and their dog to the field. No shortage of star players in this group...no question. We had homers, diving catches in the field, a few disputed calls (friendly ones, ha ha), and a fly ball headed for the rose (a free pizza) was snatched out of the air for an out. No pizza for that batter.
Sean swings...and.....(sorry, man, was hoping you'd connect)
John hurls one of his fast array of pitches.
A shot of the field before the game. Special thanks to Claire Brodie for her work in the field this summer.

9-1 Game
HCF welcomed a married couple from Brazil, Karine and Carlos...first time players. Darrell returned from last year and teamed up with Abe and Karine to roll over Carlos, John, and Steve. But, gg, and fun. Steve coming 3/4 with a curve...I think this was one of the few pitches I threw that didn't end up in the outfield grasses.

8-25 Game
Here's the recap from tonight's action:
4 person game with newcomers Abe and Adam taking the field along with Rich and myself. Like last week each person was their own team and each of the 3 players in the field alternated pitching to the batter with each fielder/pitcher pitching until they retired the batter.
Abe 8
Rich 3
Steve 1
Adam 0
But, as Steve and Adam like to say, the game was closer than the score. Great to have the Abe and Adam on the field tonight. They will be back next week.

Wiffle Ball June 16
9 Players this evening
Good game as the Home Team got the tying run to the plate before the Guests could lock it down the next inning. Balls were flying out of HCF as the long ball ruled.

Actual Weather: 50 F, Cloudy
Game: OFF
Start Time: N/A
We actually had a few of the neighbors show up as well as someone who saw us on Ann Arbor Meet up so with the sun finally coming out we got a little pitching and batting practice in. Future HOF wifflers Max and Jack (guessing between 4-7 yrs old) were honing their skills, too.
We'll shoot for next week. Remember to use the A2 Meet up Site to indicate if you are coming.

Drop In Wiffle Ball
Honey Creek Wiffle Ball 2015
Drop in Wiffle Ball is weather dependent and will begin sometime in April or May. Check this site regularly for schedule changes/updates.
Who am I: I own the 3 acres of land that we play on. I'm a semi-retired baker/chef that teaches a few classes for Ann Arbor Rec & Ed. Baseball is one of my passions.
History of the Field: This is the 3rd season of wiffle ball at Honey Creek Field
When do we play: Tuesday's from 5:00 PM (preferably arrive before 6:05 PM) to no later than 8:00 PM
Who is welcome to play: Anyone in the community
Age of Players: 12 (depending on ability could vary either way) to 100
Is there a charge: Donations of $1 are optional to pay for the Meet Up Fee expense (if that's how you found us). Playing on the field is free of charge.
It is always nice if the players bring a ball to play with as new ones travel farther than cracked ones.
Rules:
- Normally we don't run the bases
- We have a strike zone that determines strikes
- 6 balls and 3 strikes (foul ball on 3rd strike and out)
- 3 outs to an inning
- Number of players per team flexible, 5-7 is desirable
- Parking and Location - See map. Some parking is available on the south side of Dexter-Ann Arbor Rd (there is a small wooden 'bridge' that allows you to cross over the stream). Parking on Pratt Rd is an option. Please do not park on my grass or on the driveway. map link
